Ameer Shaikh exclusively practices business immigration and nationality law and manages the firm’s intensive PERM and I-140 programs. He also specializes in extraordinary ability O-1, EB-1A and EB-1B visas, and is particularly fond of challenging cases. In addition, he provides support to the firm’s H-1B, L-1A, and L-1B teams, and gives advice on complex adjustment of status matters. He also works closely with a number of incubators and accelerators and advises numerous early stage companies. He also heads the firm’s E-2 practice.
Previously, Ameer practiced Antitrust and Securities litigation at a class-action firm in Manhattan. He began his legal career as a paralegal at the United States Department of Justice, Antitrust Division, Washington DC, working on some of the DOJ’s most iconic investigations.
Ameer’s interest in the intersection of immigration and corporate law stems from his appreciation for greater innovation in the tech sector. He avidly follows new developments in the start-up world and enjoys working with the tech innovators in the Bay Area.
