Kalpana V. Peddibhotla

Kalpana V. Peddibhotla retired from MPLG on December 31, 2021. 

Prior to launching her own law practice, Kalpana represented individuals and companies in complex business disputes for two prominent Silicon Valley law firms, while maintaining a substantial pro bono practice on the side.

Kalpana launched her own law firm in 2005 and has represented numerous companies on their business immigration matters. She has successfully guided Silicon Valley companies from inception to exit. Kalpana has significant experience with H-1B, L, PERM, and Extraordinary Ability petitions. She has taught business immigration CLE’s, has been featured on radio and news programs, and has been an invited speaker at AILA conferences.

Kalpana continues to maintain her community and local involvement through various pro bono projects and activities.  Her past contributions include serving as a volunteer attorney with Catholic Charities, the Muslim Community Association, the American Civil Liberties Union, and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. In 2018, Kalpana received the Pro Bono Attorney of the Year Award from the Tahirih Justice Center. She has also been recognized by the South Asian Bar Association of Northern California with the Trailblazer’s Award and as the Public Interest Attorney of the year by the South Asian Bar Association of North America. In 2018 she served as the national co-chair for the South Asian Bar Association’s Annual Naturalization Drive.

Kalpana is a graduate of Chicago Kent College of Law (1998) and UC Berkeley.  She is admitted to practice before the California Supreme Court, the Federal Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Federal District Court.
