Radhika Balaji


Radhika Balaji is an Associate Attorney with our firm’s immigration practice. She focuses on providing advice to our corporate clients on employment-based non-immigrant visa petitions, immigrant petitions, adjustment of status applications, outstanding researcher & EB-1 petitions as well as PERM applications. She also specializes on a variety of family-based immigration matters, including green card applications through marriage, removal of conditions on residence and naturalization in addition to assisting our clients with asylum applications.

Prior to joining MPLG, Radhika was an Associate Attorney with a boutique immigration law firm in San Jose where she practiced employment-based immigration. She also has experience working with matters falling outside the scope of business immigration such as deportation defense, asylum claims and VAWA applications.

Radhika has been instrumental in securing favorable outcomes for clients of various nationalities. As a law clerk to Judge Yvonne E. Campos at the Appellate Division of the Superior Court of California in San Diego, Radhika had first hand opportunity to learn about complex challenges immigrants face because of criminal convictions. Radhika was also a volunteer attorney at the Casa Cornelia Law Center where she assisted in interviewing detained asylum seekers and making successful asylum claims. Her vast experience enables her to provide holistic immigration recommendations to corporate and individual clients. Being an immigrant herself, Radhika understands the sentiments of her clients and relates to their needs to provide personalized representation.

Radhika has reviewed and prepared citizenship forms at naturalization clinics hosted by South Asian Bar Association, Northern California Chapter and regularly participates in the Legal Aid Clinics organized by Columbia Neighborhood Center (CNC) in Sunnyvale.

Radhika is admitted to practice law in California and is a member of American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). She obtained her law degree from the Dr. Ambedkar Law University in India (BA.BL.) and a Masters in Law (LLM) from University of Illinois – College of Law, Champaign. Radhika is also licensed to practice law in India.

Radhika is fluent in Tamil and Hindi and is literate in French.
