On May 14th, the American Immigration Lawyers Association Santa Clara Valley Chapter (AILA SCV) hosted its annual installation event, during which the new Executive Board was virtually sworn in and installed. MPLG Attorney Roujin Mozaffarimehr was sworn in as this year’s Chapter Chair. She has been an active member of AILA, serving committee and executive positions since 2017. Just before the COVID-19 pandemic, she represented the chapter at AILA’s annual National Day of Action (NDA) in Washington D.C., at which she met with local leaders including Representative Ro Khanna and the offices of Representatives Anna Eshoo and Zoe Lofgren and Senator Diane Feinstein to advocate for immigration reform.
AILA is the national bar association of more than 15,000 attorneys and law professors who practice, research, and teach immigration law. AILA’s mission is to promote justice, advocate for fair and reasonable immigration law and policy, advance the quality of immigration and nationality law and practice, and enhance the professional development of its members.
